Using Resolume and Madmapper, students will gain a good foundation on the design and execution of their own visuals for various environments. In this introduction to sound design, we first lay down the foundations by covering commonly used waveforms, ADSR envelopes, filters, amplifiers, FM, sequencers, FX, and more. This introductory class in electronic music production covers softwares such as Ableton Live and topics such as sampling, VST plug-ins, MIDI mapping, sequencing, drum racks, basslines and synths, and more. These courses provide the groundwork for developing electronic music using digital audio workstations (DAW) and analog synthesizers. This course allows students to conduct and build their own virtual symphonies and trains them to improvise live electronic music on the spot. With a similar structure to our DJ101 course, this group class is for those who would like to learn about live performance with drum machines and synthesizers. Advanced filter mixing, troubleshooting. Use of multiple CDJs/turntables (up to 4). Students will have the ability to arrange a date and time to work with one of our advanced instructors. These private DJ lessons for advanced students are dedicated to beginning vinyl instruction. Finally, the students will have the opportunity to record their mixes as played through CDJs as well as perform with other DJs through back to back sets. Curate a better understanding of the psychology of the dance floor and reading crowds. Introduces more advanced nuances in music curation. Harmonics through multi-band equalizers. Our intermediate group class is directed toward DJs who would like to expand on their craft and transition from using controllers and laptops to CDJs. Finally, in conclusion of the class, the students will have the opportunity to record and live stream their mixes on various platforms using modern tools and services such as OBS Studio, Twitch, Facebook, and others. Become familiar with industry standard equipment and software, such as Rekordbox using Pioneer DJ controllers. Introduction with a brief history of electronic dance music and contemporary practices. This class will delve into higher levels of abstraction in music, encouraging the students to think creatively about their sets and structuring. Our introductory-level group class is curated for passionate hobbyists or anyone who would like to get started with their DJ journey. Cause of course the goal is somnething like this: LOL!!!Subcentral provides group instruction via courses and workshops as well as private lessons, all curated by local experts. I have a 3k lumens projector and you can barely see it. Then there is the problem of a projector bright enough to overcome the street light in front of my house. (Last time I looked into madmapper it was, awesome program though)

I did a quick thing in february: Video sucks, hard to video and change the mappings at the same time, and my kids found me.īut to get the desired results I may need to become an expert in Adobe After Effects, ugh.ĭo you have a Mac and PC at your disposal? Cause I few of those seem to be Mac only.

I have resolume arena installed (the free trial with the annoying robot voice and random "resolume" projection) but it cost 1/2 as much as my matrix! But I do like that you can control it with DMX. I would be interested in what you go with. Some things that are on my list, not in order, and may not be labeled correctly
